In fact, I personally think its a bit too much for lifted WJ's under 6" of lift. I have a 4" lift with 5" of backspacing and LOVE the look of it. It gives it a wider stance over the stock backspacing, but my wheels dont stick out so far beyond the fender that it just looks silly. Also, for tire size, stock on some WJs was 245/70/16. If you do a bit of four wheeling, then there are several other options. Here are the General's you speak of (General Grabber AT2) on 2" lift. I'm running 265/70/16s with a smidge of trimming on the plastic fascia - you really can't tell at all. No complaints on the tire, rides great so far. The other good option for a 2" lift is a 245/75/16. Spend about 30-45 minutes clicking through the lifted sticky up at the top

I just checked and I can get 265-70-15 that is the same height as the 30-9.5-15 but is an inch wider. That would be even better and they will fit on the stock 7 inch wheels. I am looking at the Toyo Open Country ATs. 97 Grand Cherokee Laredo. Save Share.
