Herostrike is an assassin ability that inflicts alot of damage and takes a while to regenerate ( maybe 15+ seconds). With the armor I constantly do it without waiting for it to regenerate. I think you are right though, it is very expensive to upgrade the whole set every time I level up. I guess it was fun while it lasted :)
