When selected, Eco Mode somewhat restricts a vehicle’s performance, in a bid to increase fuel economy to the most optimal level. This is done by limiting throttle response, adjusting shift points, and manipulating an engine’s air/fuel ratio. When operating in Eco Mode, you might notice that your engine is not as responsive to a jab of the
Leave it alone for 5 minutes (sleep mode). Now disconnect the battery, both leads and hold the leads together for a further 5 minutes. Reconnect the battery and lean into the open window and switch the lights on. This wakes the BSI up gently! Now open the door on the plip and try to start it. Economy mode will go if and when it starts.

If the battery voltage is down this may prevent the stop/start working - possibly due to the car not being used for a while.
Try charging it up or with another battery/cables. Economy mode is activated when the car detects an energy drain. Either you left the CDplayer on for more than 30 minutes without the engine turning or you left your car door open for more than 45 minutes OR battery voltage is too low.

I think it is shocking that Citroen take the option away from dissarmimg this bloody annoying mode. They must have had so many complaints over this. I think I would even consider not buying another car Citroen or otherwise with this stupid option. Pete [ a truly pissed off eco mode owner].

Hi ASH, eco mode is the timer to disable accessories if the 'ignition' has been left on without starting the engine. If the car doesn't turn over, suspect battery - which you have done, but also the starter motor and its solenoid.

I have no idea what that is supposed to mean or what it does. There is no mention of it in the owner's manual. If so, follow these easy steps: To turn ECO mode on, simply press the ECO button or turn the dial to the left, depending on your model. To turn ECO mode off, press the ECO button again (2013-2018 RAV4s) or press the NORMAL button on (2019-2024 RAV4s). Button-style. Dial-style. When ECO mode is activated, the ECO mode indicator light will turn
Stuck in eco-mode, the usual circuits are disabled as a result, and the fuel pump doesn't appear to prime the engine (you can't hear the pump at all). Naturally, the car doesn't start as a result. I've noticed that the gearbox is slightly stiffer (it's been sat for a while!).
The ECO HEAT/COOL button of your hybrid functions to reduce the consumption of electricity thus, a reduction of fuel consumption. An indicator 'ECO' appears on the air conditioning display to indicate that the mode is on. Of course, with the ECO HEAT/COOL on it'll take longer than the usual amount of time for the temperature to reach its normal
On start up it predictably defaults to Normal driving mode, and there’s little incentive to try Eco or Sport. Citroen also sells the regular C4 (and now the C4 X, which it didn’t at launch
